VIKKE R. BROOKS

Founder, CEO, Clinical Director

Vikke R. Brooks has over 30 years of experience as a clinician working in the Behavioral Health sector. She has worked for the Department of Corrections, Department of Homeless Services, Hospitals, and Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities. She also has years of experience in Utilization Management both hospital and insurance based.
 

Grounded in a collaborative and client-centered approach, Ms. Brooks believes that each individual and relationship is unique, deserving of tailored strategies for growth. She employs therapeutic techniques, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, among others. By addressing both the underlying issues and immediate concerns, Ms. Brooks helps clients develop practical skills to strengthen their connections and overcome obstacles. Her mission is to guide LGBTQIA+ individuals towards healthier, and more fulfilling connections.


Beyond her clinical work, Ms. Brooks has authored a few self-reflective prompted journals for self-discovery and self-healing. She has also conducted training on the stages of grief, coping with loss, and compassion fatigue. Her dedication to healing and empowerment is evident in her commitment to helping clients in their journey towards stronger relationships and emotional well-being.

Tinisha Tolbert

Director of Resource and Wellness

Tinisha Tolbert brings over 15 years of dedicated experience in Children Welfare and Behavioral Health Case Management to her new role as Director of Resource and Wellness. She is passionate about advocating for families from diverse backgrounds, committed to helping them navigate systemic barriers. Tinisha believes that when people are supported and accepted for who they are, they can thrive. Her approach involves securing the right resources and empowering individuals to utilize these resources to build robust support systems.


In her new role, Tinisha will leverage her extensive experience and deep understanding of family dynamics to ensure that every individual receives the care and support they need to succeed. Her skills in case management, advocacy, and resource coordination, combined with her strengths in empathy, communication, and strategic planning, will enable her to effectively lead initiatives that promote wellness and resilience. Tinisha’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment will be instrumental in creating lasting positive change for the individuals and communities she serves.

Clinical Practice Manager 

Kathlyn Brooks boasts an impressive 22-year career in the medical field, marked by her dedication and unwavering commitment to patient care. Starting her journey as a Certified Medical Assistant, Kathlyn's skill and empathy quickly became apparent, earning her respect and recognition among peers and patients alike. Her expertise spans both medical and mental health conditions, and she has consistently demonstrated a profound understanding of the interconnectedness between physical and mental well-being.


As a Practice Manager, Kathlyn seamlessly combines her clinical acumen with strategic leadership. She oversees the clinical operations of the company, ensuring that both staff and clients are supported in a nurturing environment. Kathlyn's leadership style is characterized by collaboration and compassion, fostering a culture where teamwork thrives, and client care is paramount.


Kathlyn's passion for working with individuals facing medical and mental health challenges is the cornerstone of her career.
